Responsibilities
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues for fellow staff
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to others for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Setup, maintain, and delete user accounts as required
- Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for verification, data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Monitor systems daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
- Patch and / or upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
- Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes
