Starting wage - $38.64 - $48.29 (based on experience)

Qualifications:
- Current state Physical Therapy licensure and graduate of an accredited college or university with a certificate in Physical Therapy
- BLS certification
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer knowledge
- Must be able to work with all age ranges
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs a physical therapy assessment and reassessment as indicated and develops a plan of care with patient goals and directed toward functional outcomes. This may include pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.
- Observes and evaluates treatment effect and recommends change to the clinician, as appropriate.
- Ability to provide physical therapy services in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Evaluates the need for durable medical equipment.
- Contributes to safe discharge planning for inpatients including recommendations for transitioning to the next level of care through use of physical therapy appropriate evaluations.
- Charges patients accurately and timely in compliance with departmental policy and in compliance with specifications outlined in the annual CPT publication (current procedural terminology).
- Demonstrates knowledge and competency with physical therapy modalities.
- Meets documentation standards outlined in the physical therapy competencies.
- Directs and supervises physical therapist assistants and provides a clear treatment plan while maintaining a collaborative patient care partnership.
- Participates in education of physical therapy student shadows and interns.
- Participates in internal and external education and/or marketing of rehabilitation services annually.
- Maintains regulatory requirements, including Minnesota licensure and continuing education requirements.
- Presents at department in-services following participation with continuing education, i.e. discipline specific presentation, department presentation, journal club leader, etc.
- Attends department meetings and in-services, as scheduled.
- Ability to travel between multiple locations.
- Other duties as assigned.
