Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited professional nursing programCurrent Minnesota Registered Nurse licenseBLS certificationACLS certification (Northwest Clinic and Hospital locations only including the departments of Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Acute Care, Cardiology, Pain Management, and Pediatrics)Minimum of one year nursing experience preferredJob Responsibilities :
Practice of Professional Nursing includes but is not limited to :
Provides a comprehensive assessment of the health status of a patient through the collection, analysis, and synthesis of data used to establish a health statue baseline and plan of care. The RN also addresses changes in the patient condition.Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and coordinate an integrated plan of care.Develops nursing interventions to be integrated into the plan of care.Implements nursing care through the execution of independent nursing actions.Implements interventions that are delegated, ordered, or prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider.Delegates nursing tasks or assigns nursing activities to implement the plan of care.Provides safe and effective nursing care.Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment.Advocates for the best interests of individual patients.Evaluates responses to interventions and the effectiveness of the plan of care.Collaborates and coordinates with other healthcare professionals in the management and implementation of care within and across care settings and communities.Provides health promotion, disease prevention, care coordination, and case finding.Designs and implements teaching plans based on patient need and evaluates teaching effectiveness.Participates in the development of healthcare policies, procedures, and systems.Accountable for the quality of care delivered, recognizing the limits of knowledge and experience; addresses situations beyond the nurse's competency; and performs at the level of education, knowledge, and skill ordinarily expected if an individual has completed an approved professional nursing education program.Manages, supervises, and evaluates the practice of nursing.Maintains OMC organization competencies and nursing competencies pertinent to area of practice.Manages information in accordance with state and federal regulations.Performs other duties as assigned.Athletic Trainer : Qualifications :
Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field requiredCurrent board certificationBLS certificationNAOT OTC certification preferredAssist certification preferred
Minimum one to three years' experience in the field of sports medicine / clinical athletic trainer roleJob Responsibilities :
Reviews charts and ancillary testing under the guidance of overseeing clinician.Takes patient history and performs physical exam according to the individual clinician preferences and organizational guidelines.Reviews history with new patients to ensure it is complete, updates patient history on return patients.Orders appropriate imaging, physical therapy, and school notes per physician direction.Accompanies clinician during the patient visit according to their direction and take appropriate notes.Assists with patient education and follow-up.Completes documentation for patient visit.Represents OMC as an educator, professional in the community, and at conferences.Applies casting and splinting materials as needed.Aligns the needs to the organization with the services.Stays current with sports medicine practices.Uses various equipment including, but not limited to, hot / cold modalities, ultrasound, electrical stimulation as well as other equipment prescribed.Assists with post-surgical care.Assists with in-clinic procedures and ultrasound-guided injections.Fits and measures a variety of casts, braces, and splints.Reacts to emergency situations.Sports coverage as assigned.Surgical assist as assigned.Other duties as assigned.Equal Opportunity Employer / Protected Veterans / Individuals with Disabilities
