Olon USA is a contract manufacturing organization focused on making active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). The primary area of specialization is first time scale up of complex organic chemistry reactions and corresponding purification processes to achieve successful pilot plant production. The company is comprised of highly technical staff with about 75% of all employees being in a technical role. Significant interaction occurs between Chemical Engineers, Organic Chemists, and Analytical Chemists for each pilot plant project that is executed.
To help support the Chemical Engineering staff, we are looking for an intern to help assist with some of the quality aspects of the role. The main functions of this role will involve the following items:
- Conduct equipment assessments as part of the equipment qualification process for cGMP manufacturing
- Conduct temperature and humidity mapping of equipment and summarize results
- Assist with the launch of a new inventory system
At a minimum, we are looking for someone to join us over the summer. Ideally the position would also include sometime during the school year. Depending on the situation, a yearlong internship is also open for consideration.
Salary : $15 - $19
