Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dietetics and nutrition, with a focus on patient assessment and health coaching. This role is essential in providing nutritional care to patients in various settings, including acute care and long-term care facilities. The Clinical Dietitian will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized dietary plans that promote optimal health outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional needs and dietary habits.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations to identify nutrition-related issues and develop appropriate interventions.
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans based on patient assessments.
- Provide health coaching to patients and their families, educating them on dietary choices and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to ensure the delivery of safe and effective tube feeding protocols when necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, dietetics, and current best practices in clinical nutrition.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with facility policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current registration as a Dietitian (RD) or eligibility for registration.
- Experience in clinical settings such as acute care or long-term care is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and developing dietary interventions.
- Knowledge of tube feeding protocols and experience working within a dietary department is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide effective health coaching.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development in the field of dietetics.
Pay: $1,972.00 - $2,113.00 per week
