Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the diagnostic evaluation process. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans on patients according to established protocols and procedures.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations by obtaining high-resolution images for interpretation by radiologists.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to aseptic techniques and following all safety protocols during imaging procedures.
- Prepare patients for scans by explaining the procedure, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort.
- Maintain and operate MRI equipment, performing routine quality checks and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and contribute to patient care plans.
- Keep accurate records of patient information, scan results, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques, including CT and sonography.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist program or equivalent education.
- Certification in MRI technology from a recognized professional organization is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience in diagnostic imaging and familiarity with CT procedures is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and patient care.
