Job Title: Cashier/Stocker
Reports To: Store Manager

General Purpose of Position:
A Cashier/Stocker is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, as per Company standards, while stocking product safely, efficiently and accurately; as well as helping customers with their orders at the register and safeguarding Company assets.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining superior standards, solid product knowledge, and all other aspects of exceptional customer service.
- Assists warehouse in accurately and efficiently processing product transfers coming in and going out to other Olsen’s stores.
- Ensures that each customer receives the correct product.
- Communicates customer requests/complaints to management.
- Maintains orderly appearance of entire store area and supplies stocked.
- Maintain accurate register cash counts. Cash drawer to balance at beginning and end of shifts.
- Any other tasks as assigned, from time-to-time, by any manager.
Skills and Competencies:
- Effectively communicate with associates and customers.
- Ability to read, count, and write in order to accurately complete all documentation correctly.
- Ability to operate a cash register and/or POS system.
Requirements:
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, and continually move 50-80 lb. bags and 60-110 lb. bales of hay (as needed), which entails lifting, bending and squatting.
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights (for special events), weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Able to learn and operate a register and count back money to customers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.40 - $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
