Overnight Engineer

About the Role:

The Overnight Engineer at Canopy by Hilton Boston plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's facilities during the night shift. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and emergency repairs to uphold the highest standards of safety and comfort for our guests. The engineer will troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise, ensuring that all systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, are functioning optimally. Additionally, the Overnight Engineer will conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance the overall guest experience. Ultimately, this role is vital in maintaining the hotel's reputation for excellence and ensuring guest satisfaction during overnight hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
• Experience in the hospitality industry.
• Familiarity with building management systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Conduct emergency repairs as needed to ensure guest safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
