What are the responsibilities and job description for the Room Attendant position at Olshan Properties?
Hilton Marco Island is seeking a dynamic Room Attendant to join our amazing housekeeping team!
POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to ensure the cleanliness of rooms. Clean guest rooms as assigned,
ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness. Room attendant s are responsible for
reporting any maintenance deficiencies; handling guest requests; and ensuring the confidentiality
and security of all guest rooms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Clean coffee mugs, glassware, coffee makers, ice buckets, bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, glass, patio, vents and floor surfaces using approved cleaning supplies.
- Strip and make beds, changing bed linens. Monitor the condition of the bedspreads and shower curtains. Change regularly to ensure cleanliness and good condition (no holes, no mildew, no hair, no stains, etc.)
- Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly, maintain room attendant carts cleaned and organized as well as floor closets.
- Collect clean linen from the floor closets and bring the dirty laundry to the laundry chute.
- Vacuum the entire room and front of the room entrance leading to the hallway. Separate trash according to recycle guidelines.
- Replenish amenities including slippers, blanket box in closet, linens, bath robes and supplies in guest room. Maintain updated literature (magazines, books, HBO guide, etc.).
- Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance. Make sure before exiting the room, it is completed. Punch the room VR.
- Utilize the system HotSOS.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
