Job Summary:
Olsten Staffing is seeking a skilled Production Assembler to join their team in North Myrtle Beach, SC. The ideal candidate will have previous assembly/production experience and a strong mechanical aptitude. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electronic components using wire harness/cable assembly instructions and performing numerous hand assembly operations based on detailed instructions. You will also operate semi-automatic equipment and conduct functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
Responsibilities:
* Read and follow wire harness/cable assembly instructions.
* Route, wire, and assemble electronic components using wire layout boards.
* Perform numerous hand assembly operations based on detailed instructions.
* Operate semi-automatic equipment (such as crimp presses, wire twisters, and wire strippers).
* Conduct functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies using friendly test fixtures.
* Use a soldering iron to solder wires to connectors.
* Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process assemblies and finished products.
Requirements:
* Previous assembly/production experience and a strong mechanical aptitude.
* Motivated, detail-oriented, and excellent hand dexterity.
* Proficient in basic math skills.
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay for this position starts at $12.00/hr. This position is a 1st shift Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm.
