About The Role :
This new family member will have an eagerness and willingness to learn and will be hungry for learning new processes and providing thoughtful and creative feedback on how to better processes. This person will proactively dig deep to help identify new opportunities, build, and test best in class headwear.
This person has a natural tendency to spot trends, enjoys studying the competitive landscape, and has a fierce drive to be the best. We are looking for someone who loves well made products, teamwork, and collaboration. This employee will possess proven time management experience. We ask that you have expertise in understanding and interpreting consumer insight and market intelligence to maximize business growth and market share in accordance with melins core product pillars. Our core pillars are taking the eco-friendly approach, best in class materials, unique details and innovative design, comfort, and performance. This role reports to the Vice President of Product.
Who We Are Looking For :
- Design Director with a wide range of design expertise and leadership experience.
- Create industry-leading and innovative design.
- Supreme attention to detail is a must, keen eye on layout design.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot well and turn around projects within 48-hours.
- A highly motivated self-starter.
- Need to have a passion for problem solving product.
- A growth mind-set with a well figure it out problem solver approach.
- A professional who works well with all levels of management and has a can do attitude.
- Team player attitude required.
- Eagerness to jump in at any level of product creation as needed by the team.

Qualifications, Education, Experience Requirements :
Location & Office Structure : This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in San Clemente, with the option to work from home 1 day per week. Subject to change without notice as per company guidelines.
Compensation : The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $170,000 plus opportunity for annual bonus; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
