About The Role:
The Associate Buyer will support the buying team with assortment planning, forecasting demand, and managing inventory for our North American E-commerce sites. This role combines analytical skills with merchandising experience to manage and execute inventory plans and optimize performance to achieve financial targets.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Demand Forecasting:
- Collaborate with Buying team to develop pre-season financial plans.
- Collaborate with Buyer and Merchandisers to align with assortment strategy.
- Analyze historical sales data to identify selling trends and opportunities to make data-driven decisions.
- Generate pre-season SKU level demand forecasts to plan monthly bulks.
- Take the lead on demand forecasting for the Canadian website.
Inventory Management/Reporting:
- Manage sales/stock reports and analyze performance to maintain healthy in stock positions.
- Report on KPI’s, trends, risks, and opportunities in weekly meetings.
- Support buying teams with inventory adjustments and bulk management across channels.
- Take the lead on inventory management for the Canadian website.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with internal planning and marketing teams to execute product launches, marketing strategies, and inventory plans.
- Communicate product priorities to merchandising and marketing to meet sales plans.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related discipline
- 3-4 years of direct experience in demand planning, buying, or sales forecasting roles in the fashion/apparel industry
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and trends
- Understanding of retail math and key metrics
- Thrives is a fast-paced ever-changing environment
- Highly organized with efficient time management
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Full Circle is preferred
Location & Office Structure: This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in Irvine, CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week. Subject to change without notice as per company guidelines.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $66,560 to $79,000; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
