Job Overview
The Intensive Treatment Program (ITP) at OLV Human Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work with adolescents who are diagnosed on the Autism spectrum with mental health concerns and developmental or intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create personalized treatment plans for each individual, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
- Provide Speech/Language Therapy Services: Deliver speech and language therapy services to individuals with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and/or mental illness, as outlined in their Individual Education Plan.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with other professionals, including psychologists, occupational therapists, and behavior analysts, to ensure comprehensive care for each individual.
Requirements
- Certifications and Licenses: Valid New York State SLP Licensure, Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped Certification in NYS, Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Education: Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology/Communication Disorders.
- Experience: 1-2 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and Applied Behavior Analysis methodology.
