Job Description:We are seeking an experienced and motivated Girls USAG Team Coach to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in competitive gymnastics coaching and a passion for developing young athletes. You will be responsible for leading and coaching our USAG competitive team, ensuring a positive, safe, and challenging environment that promotes growth and success for each gymnast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach the Girls USAG competitive team (Levels 2 & Up), focusing on skill development, technique, and performance.
- Develop and implement training plans and routines tailored to each gymnast's needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with the Head Coach to design effective training schedules and competition preparation.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes by maintaining a safe training environment and adhering to USAG safety guidelines.
- Provide constructive feedback, motivation, and encouragement to help each gymnast achieve their personal and team goals.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child's progress, upcoming competitions, and any concerns.
- Assist with team choreography, competition entries, and meet preparations for your athletes.
- Stay current with USAG rules, regulations, and coaching techniques.
- Support the team during competitions, including travel as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience coaching competitive gymnastics, particularly with girls' USAG levels.
- In-depth knowledge of USAG rules, regulations, and competitive gymnastics standards.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with athletes, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create a positive, disciplined, and motivating environment for gymnasts.
- Passionate about gymnastics with a commitment to athlete development and success.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
