NOTE / ENTRY LEVEL POSITION / This position requires individuals who are able to work under pressure in fast pace work environment, while ensuring safety. Must be able to pass a drug test.
Position Overview
The Traffic Control Technician will safely and efficiently control the movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects to ensure safety.
Key Responsibilities (Duties & Functions)
- Perform traffic control and flagging activities as needed.
- Follow safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including but not limited to placing signs, traffic cones and other warning devices.
- Use signs, hand signals and other mechanisms to communicate with motorists and co-workers.
- Warn clients when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury.
- Coordinate with law enforcement personnel or other authorities when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
- Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures.
- Must be able travel to job sites.
- Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and overtime when necessary.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- 1 year of experience preferred but not required
- Driver's License (Required)
