Job Summary:
We are seeking an adjunct faculty member to join our Social Sciences and Humanities Division, teaching American Sign Language (ASL) courses. The successful candidate will have a strong background in ASL and be able to teach using culturally responsive pedagogy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching ASL courses, primarily ASL& 121, 122, and 123, and possibly ASL 101 Fingerspelling and Numbering
- Providing quality teaching, including related preparation, grading, and record keeping
- Communicating effectively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies or a related field
- Extensive coursework or experience in American Sign Language
