Assistant Golf Coach
Salary : $4,000 Annually
Classification : Part Time Assistant Gold Coach
Reports to : The Director of Athletics and the Head Golf Coach.
The Golf Assistant Coach will play a key role in supporting the Head Golf Coach in all aspects of the intercollegiate golf program. This position is vital to the success of the team and is directly aligned with the mission and goals of Olympic college's athletics department. The Assistant Coach will assist in recruiting within conference guidelines, teaching advanced golf skills, and helping to monitor the academic progress of student-athletes. Additionally, the role includes overseeing team transportation, participating in fundraising efforts, promoting sportsmanship, and ensuring the completion of necessary institutional and conference paperwork.
Essential Functions
- Assisting the head coach in all phases of an intercollegiate golf program
- Recruiting within conference guidelines
- Teaching advanced golf skills
- Assisting with the monitoring of individual's academic progress
- Overseeing transportation of the team
- Participate in fundraising activities
- Encouraging and demonstrating good sportsmanship
- Processing of appropriate institutional and conference paperwork
- Performs other work as required.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Position requires punctual and regular attendance. Employee must be available to attend practices and games on weekday afternoons and weekends. Recruitment of student-athletes and other related duties continues throughout the year.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position. The employee may be required to lift and carry supplies and equipment of up to 30 pounds.
