The Manufacturing & Trades (M&T) Division prepares students for careers in industries such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, and precision manufacturing. This position provides administrative support to the Dean, faculty, staff, and students, ensuring smooth operations, scheduling, documentation, purchasing, and program planning. Acting as a liaison between the division and OC leadership, faculty, students, advisory committees, and industry partners, this role supports over 60 faculty members, five staff, and 500 students.

Benefits
This is a full-time classified position scheduled to work 40 hours a week, with a salary range of $41,724 - $55,584 annually. All classified positions will start their salary at Step A, when you have completed six months of probation, you will receive a 5 percent pay increase. A collective bargaining agreement exists, and this position is covered by the Washington Public Employees Associate (WPEA) Union. Classified positions qualify for the following benefits:

- Implement and assess policies and procedures for the day-to-day management of the Dean's Office.
- Monitor, advise and update the Dean of calendar events, appointments and phone calls.
- Represent the dean at meetings, events and happenings as delegated.
- Represent M&T at OC wide campus events and report back to the Dean.
- Make informed administrative decisions and recommendations related to program administration, workflow management, and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Coordinate and maintain the Dean's calendar, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure efficient scheduling and accurate planning.
- Assess priorities and deadlines to determine urgency and provide recommendations as needed.
- Develop and distribute meeting agendas, presentation materials, and meeting notes to faculty, staff, and stakeholders for division, tenure, and other assigned M&T meetings.
- Assist with inquiries and provide resolutions, escalating complex inquiries to the appropriate personnel as needed.
- Maintain the division calendar to ensure tenure and other project milestones are met.
- Develop and distribute email communications regarding program related information
- Work with faculty to ensure their requested facility needs and requests are met.
- Advise students, staff, and program participants regarding content, policies, and activities.
- Schedule all division level tenure committee meetings.
- Write minutes at all division tenure committee meetings and upload to Canvas
- Assist all division probationer faculty with documentation upload to Canvas.
- Execute comprehensive administrative and purchasing support
- Research and verify federal and state vendor compliance and fulfillment of all procurement requirements when purchasing division and discipline supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Two years of experience in the program specialty
