Grower Accountant

Position: Grower Accountant

Compensation: Hourly; Annual Performance Incentive Available

Overview: Olympic Fruit is an apple packing warehouse currently experiencing aggressive growth and expanding operations We are looking to add a qualified and motivated individual to our accounting team to assist in all functions related to grower accounting as well as be the point of contact for grower-related requests. This is a full-time salaried position with an opportunity for future growth and promotion within the company. This position will report directly to the controller.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

• Work closely with growers to provide requests relating to financial information
• Opportunity to analyze and develop useful and informative reports to growers detailing financial and pack out information
• Entering and maintaining data related to grower contracts, grower blocks, and pooling information
• Running and analyzing monthly pool estimates to determine grower advance amounts
• Monthly grower payments as well as final settling with growers upon pool closure
• Tracking and invoicing custom packing arrangements
• Review and settle custom packing/individual pools
• Work with marketing company to account for pooled fruit to accurately close and settle pools
• Review and reconcile grower payable sub-ledger monthly
• Other tasks as deemed necessary

Ideal Qualities:

• Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• Work experience in agriculture
• Required understanding of accounting concepts
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Experience with Compu-tec Software
• Self-Starter
• Good communicator with management and growers
• Analytical thinker

Schedule

• Full-time, year-round, Monday thru Friday

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
