Job Overview: A Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a brake press machine to bend, shape, and form metal materials according to specifications. They read blueprints, adjust machine settings, and inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up Press Brake machines
- Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards
- Read and decipher blueprints
- Have opportunity to cross train into different departments (laser, weld, and machining)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Accurately work with calipers, squares, gauges, protractors and other measuring tools
- Have good math ability and problem-solving skills
- Read and interpret blueprints efficiently
- Stand continuously and lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrate safety in the press brake operation process
