Job Description
The Clinical Exercise Physiologist I (CEP) works with patients and clients challenged with cardiovascular, pulmonary, and metabolic diseases and disorders, as well as with healthy populations in cooperation with other healthcare professionals to enhance quality of life, manage health risk, and promote lasting health behavior change. The CEP I participates in and conducts pre-participation health screening, as well as initial exercise assessments for chronic disease. This position performs strength, flexibility, and body composition tests; administers programs designed to enhance aerobic endurance, cardiovascular function, muscular strength and endurance, balance, and range of motion; educates clients about testing, exercise program components, and clinical and lifestyle self-care for control of chronic disease and health conditions; and performs other departmental diagnostics as needed (e.g., ECGs).
EDUCATION
Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science or related field required

EDUCATION
Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science or related field required
Experience
- Experience in teaching/providing education in exercise, cardiopulmonary programs, or fitness required
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting in a similar position preferred
- BLS required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS required within 90 days of hire
- ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM EP-C), ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP), and/or ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certification (ACSM RCEP) preferred
