Job Description
Works collaboratively with the Clinical Informatics Manager and the Senior Clinical Informatics Specialist to provide clinical application support to clinical end users located in multiple locations across the network. Performs analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with EMR software and multidisciplinary service line workflows for inpatient or ambulatory settings. Collaborates with other team members to assist in validation, testing, and problem resolution related to the electronic health record and other electronic systems as needed. Participates in end user training. The Clinical Informatics Specialist applies the understanding of data, information, knowledge, and wisdom key concepts into their practice to enhance the efficient use of the EMR.

Job Description

EDUCATION
- Associate degree in Information Systems or Healthcare field preferred.
- Work experience, certifications and specialized training may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Two years’ previous experience as end user of clinical applications required.
- Experience in teaching adult learners preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Epic Clinical modules preferred.
- Proficient with computer office applications, word processing, spreadsheets, office management.
