JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for directing, coordinating and overseeing the operation of the OMH Pharmacy Department and off-site pharmacies. Duties include financial planning, department organization, development of goals/objectives, development of policies/procedures, compliance with laws/standards/regulations, quality management, group purchasing activities, inventory management and human resource management. Also oversees drug distribution services, patient/clinical services, education and professional relationships.
EDUCATION
- Graduate of accredited school of pharmacy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent of five years of relevant management experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of five years of recent hospital pharmacy experience with strong clinical component.
- Proven management experience in hospital/health care environment.
- Familiarity with hospital purchasing and materials management systems including inventory control, group purchasing, information systems, and hospital cost containment methods.
LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS
Registered Pharmacist license in State of Washington required.
