Olympic Medical Physicians’ General Surgery Clinics are located in Port Angeles, on Washington State’s beautiful North Olympic Peninsula. OMP General Surgery seeks team-oriented surgeons to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation and care to patients presenting with general surgical problems, including critically ill patients and non-complex pediatric patients. OMP General Surgery supports Olympic Medical Center’s Level III Trauma Center designation and program. Highlights of the practice include:

Job Description
Olympic Medical Physicians’ General Surgery Clinics are located in Port Angeles, on Washington State’s beautiful North Olympic Peninsula. OMP General Surgery seeks team-oriented surgeons to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation and care to patients presenting with general surgical problems, including critically ill patients and non-complex pediatric patients. OMP General Surgery supports Olympic Medical Center’s Level III Trauma Center designation and program. Highlights of the practice include:
- Joining an established and successful rural practice in lifestyle setting with maximum 1-in-4 call
- Industry-leading support staff ratios, including robust RN and Medical Assistant support
- Responsive OR administration
- Dedicated hospitalist program for medical admissions and management of complex patients
- Integrated electronic healthcare record system (EPIC) with local and regional hospital systems
- Built-in advanced laparoscopic practice with growth potential for foregut, hernia, and colon cases
EDUCATION
- Medical degree from an accredited school.
- Successful completion of an ACGME approved postgraduate training program in General Surgery.
- Successful completion of requirements of the American Board of Surgery for certification in General Surgery.
- Completion of general surgery residency.
- Two years of practice in General Surgery preferred but not required.
- Board certified or eligible.
- Maintains an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington.
- Maintains current DEA registration.
- Maintains current ACLS certification. ATLS is also recommended.
- Maintains appropriate privileges and membership on the OMC Medical Staff.
