Shift Differentials:
- Evening $3.00/hour
- Night $5.00/hour
Premiums:
- Weekend Premium $4.50/hour
- Standby Premium $3.50/hour
- Lead Premium $1.50/hour
- Per Diem Premium 15% (on base, in lieu of benefits)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Pathology Secretary provides administrative support to staff pathologists, Histology, and the Pathology office. This position involves intensive client support - procedures are scheduled and coordinated with Radiology and staff inside the clinical laboratory, and phone support is required with outside physicians daily. The Pathology Secretary monitors and edits as needed incoming and outgoing Pathology reports, and checks for billing errors. The Pathology secretary also handles all slide and specimen sendouts to the Pathology Reference lab.

- High School Diploma required.
- At least 2 years of higher education with course work in business writing, communication, time management, and organizational skills preferred.
- Medical Terminology skills or medical field lab experience preferred.
- Office computer applications experience, good typing skills, and excellent telephone etiquette experience required.
- Prior EPIC experience preferred.
