Shift Differentials
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing radiologic procedures by applying ionizing radiation safely to patients for diagnostic purposes, as directed by OMC credentialed radiologists and upon the request of referring providers. This position works at a technical level requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative and does not require constant supervision. Has knowledge and understanding of age related care needs for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. External contacts include patients, family members and physicians. Internal contacts include diagnostic imaging staff, nursing staff and management. EDUCATION Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training; registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent. EXPERIENCE Two years experience in radiology in a hospital setting preferred. Thorough knowledge of specialty theory and application to include concepts, procedures, radiation safety precautions and effects. Demonstrated skill and ability to consistently perform high quality x-ray imaging and procedures. LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS Current ARRT registry certification and Washington State Radiologic Technologist licensure Current ARRT registry certification and Washington State Radiologic Technologist licensure. BLS certified or able to obtain and maintain certification. UNION UFCW 21 Pro Tech
