What are the responsibilities and job description for the Escrow Assistant position at Olympic Peninsula Title Company?
Olympic Peninsula Title has an opening in our Port Angeles office for an Escrow Assistant. This position is responsible for supporting the Escrow team and works directly with buyers, sellers, Realtors, lenders and attorneys.
Duties will include:
- Data entry
- Answering incoming phone calls
- Document preparation, copying, faxing, scanning
- Calculation of figures related to settlement costs, file balancing, and disbursements
- Ordering and confirming payoffs, HOA and water district dues, and other bills as needed
- Daily communication with clients, Realtors, lenders and attorneys via phone, email and in person
- Creating, sending and managing DocuSign packages
- Deliveries to Realtors, lenders and attorneys
- other duties as assigned
The successful candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, be attentive to details and highly customer service oriented. Our escrow assistants must be professional and adhere to privacy and confidentiality standards. The ability to multi-task and manage multiple transactions at the same time is imperative. The position requires the ability to plan, organize and problem solve in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while maintaining flexibility, composure and working well with the team.
Desired Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office and Windows
- Aptitude with numbers
- Typing and 10-Key
- SoftPro experience is a plus
- DocuSign experience is a plus

A background in escrow, title or banking is helpful but not required. On the job training will be provided and the successful candidate will be a self-motivated learner who is able to take notes, ask questions, conquer challenges and obstacles, is comfortable working under pressure and looking for a long-term career.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
