Join our team as a Complex Rehab Equipment Technician, where a strong mechanical background and experience in maintaining and repairing medical equipment are key, and work in a professional environment that prioritizes integrity and customer satisfaction!
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 1-2 years of relevant experience or certification/vocational training.
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
- Active Washington State DOH issued Pharmacy Assistant License OR willing to obtain one.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items up to 100 pounds.
- Mechanical and technical skills for equipment repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware related to medical equipment (highly preferred).
- Foundational troubleshooting abilities for equipment issues.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Adept at handling demanding tasks, adapting to various weather and road conditions, with a strong attention to detail required.
- Basic interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Customer-oriented attitude with the ability to provide professional service and maintain confidentiality.
- Must live within a reasonable commute.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Work with a wide range of medical devices, from respiratory equipment to mobility aids.
- Deliver and retrieve medical equipment and supplies to patient’s homes, while providing exceptional customer service.
- Assemble equipment, providing instructions and safety information to customers.
- Order parts, maintain inventory, and verify warranty repairs.
- Receive, stock, label, and document equipment, keeping warehouse inventory clean and functional.
- Develop and follow repair and maintenance policies, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Safely use power tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Confirm deliveries with customers prior to departure.
- Adapt to changing situations and handle last-minute delivery changes.
- Load and unload assigned vehicle with daily deliveries.
- Operate company vehicles on various routes and navigate through different weather and road conditions.
- Maintain vehicle checklists and logs.
- Responsible for the routine care of company vehicles & equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members & customers.
- Adapt to additional responsibilities as directed by the Service & Repair Manager to support department operations.
LOCATION & SCHEDLE:
- Location: 4700 Point Fosdick Dr., Suite 120, Gig Harbor, WA 98335
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-call: Rotating on-call duties, 1 week out of every 7
- Delivery Area: Routes within a 90-mile radius of the store
