Pharmacy Assistant

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• 1 year of in-person customer service experience.
• 1 year of experience operating a Point of Sale (POS) system.
• 1 year of retail cashier experience with cash and credit handling skills.
• 1 year of regular, hands-on experience working with computers and software; must be comfortable navigating and utilizing digital tools and platforms.
• Active Washington State DOH issued Pharmacy Assistant License OR willing to obtain one prior to start date.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Must live within a reasonable commute.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Welcoming and assisting customers with prescription refills and pickup orders.
• Handling incoming phone calls and directing them to the appropriate person/department.
• Processing patient orders and maintaining accurate patient profiles.
• Operating point-of-sale (POS) registers for cash, credit, and check transactions.
• Collecting and packaging prescriptions for in-store and delivery orders.
• Restock shelves and monitor medication expiration dates.
• Utilize fax and mail machines for communications and shipments.
• Adapt to additional responsibilities as directed by the Pharmacy Manager to support the efficient operation of the pharmacy.

LOCATION & SCHEDULE:

• 4700 Point Fosdick Dr., Suite 120, Gig Harbor, WA 98335
• Monday-Friday, various shifts between 8:30 AM – 7 PM, Rotating Saturdays 8:30 AM - 5 PM
