Junior Estimator

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our team. The Junior Estimator will play a key role in supporting our project estimation processes, preparing cost analyses, and ensuring accurate and competitive bids for plumbing projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in project estimation and management within the plumbing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing cost estimates for plumbing projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with the sales and project management teams to review and refine proposals.
• Maintain and update cost databases, supplier lists, and pricing information.
• Attend site visits to assess project scope and gather necessary data.
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability information.
• Support post-bid activities, including clarifications and adjustments.
• Monitor industry trends, material costs, and best practices to ensure competitive pricing.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in construction or plumbing industries (preferred but not required).
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documents.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• A willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
