Retail Clerk – Part Time Seasonal
Olympic Pools, Inc., a locally owned family business since 1966, is looking to hire a Part Time Seasonal Retail Clerk to work in our Eynon Store. We are seeking someone who possesses a strong work ethic. We offer a fun and fast pace work environment and the ability to grow with the company.
Summary:
Retail Clerks provide in-store assistance to customers browsing inventory or checking out items. Their duties include welcoming customers to the store, answering questions about products and using a cash register to process purchases.
Requirements:
- 20 plus hours per week April/May through September/October
- Must be available weekends and holidays
- Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
- Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer’s purchase, collect payment from customers and make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers with merchandise as necessary.
- Answering phones
- Testing pool water samples to assist customers in purchasing and using appropriate pool chemicals.
- Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build merchandise displays.
- Clean the store and take out trash.
- Ability to lift 100lbs.
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Able to work with chemicals; such as chlorine and other pool chemicals.
- Occasional climbing (using step ladder) up to heights of six feet.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to run check out station, stock merchandise and unload trucks.
- Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment such as handheld scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, merchandise containers, two-wheel dollies, and pallet jacks.
