General
The Guest Services Supervisor is part of the Box Office team at Belleayre Mountain and reports to the Box Office Manager and Assistant General Manager. This position oversees the daily operations of the Box Office and Guest Services including the supervision of Box Office and Guest Service staff with demonstrated Supervisory customer service experience along with flexibility and a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to stay calm and diffuse guest concerns rationally and proactively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for excellent guest service which includes answering phones, emails, and solving guest issues as they arise daily and being informed and able to respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person daily.
- Oversees Guest Services, Reservations and Ticket locations
- Train, supervise, and schedule Reservations, Box office and Guest Service Representatives.
- Implement training processes developed by the Box Office Supervisor with all departmental staff.
- Effectively coordinate and communicate with other departments as needed.
- Operate a Point of Sale (POS) for various operations including but not limited to season pass sales, assist guests with ticketing and season pass issues, sell all products, issue refunds, and process reservations. Know all aspects of the POS System and Siriusware.
- Process and maintain pass files. Print employee IDs, and Season Passes.
- Perform system maintenance as needed.
- Assist guests with complaints, answer all guest surveys.
- Responsible for opening & closing procedures including counting of safe and cash banks distributed to staff and daily verification of deposits and closeouts. Running of daily reports
- Discuss safety issues and topics with staff. Perform daily safety meetings with staff.
- Make sure all POS equipment is working properly and timely report any issues to IT.
- Implement customer service plan for staff to adhere to including policies and procedures.
- Always work safely following all training and ORDA safety protocols and procedures.
- Prepare yearly budget as well as plan off-season capital improvement jobs.
- Oversee the Ambassador Program together with the Ambassador Supervisor
- Oversee the Seasonal Locker Program.
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Customer service experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to demonstrate a professional appearance and manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Siriusware preferred/ Quick learner
Wage/Salary:
This position is identified as a Grade 17 on the ORDA/CSEA schedule with an entry rate of $26.08 per hour. The Olympic Authority offers an excellent benefits package that includes paid leave (sick, vacation, and personal time), paid holidays, health, dental, and vision insurance, participation in the NYS and Local Retirement Systems, and participation in NYS Deferred Compensation, as defined under the CSEA contract.
