Duties & Responsibilities :
Perform fire sprinkler system installation, repair and testing
Able to install CPVC piping per manufacturers specs
Work well with other trades to coordinate and resolve issues
Keep tools and equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, et.
Complete and produce reports that are legible, accurate and detailed
Stay current with code requirements and industry changes
Installs and troubleshoots fire protection sprinkler systems for commercial applications.
Must have an ability to proctor, coach, and teach others.
Must be able to anticipate and communicate any problems that may impact installation activities and implement solutions.
Must be able to read and understand assigned project documentation and work orders (including construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities).
You must prepare accurate and timely documentation for work performed, complete weekly vehicle reports, and maintain truck inventory
Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
Completes other projects to manager and customer satisfaction, as assigned.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required
Qualifications :
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders multiples times a day
Detail-oriented
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, with little supervision
Knowledge of fire systems and tools
Good craftsmanship
Dependable and excellent communication skills
Have a strong work ethic
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, instructions, etc.
Required to have a full understanding of all NFPA and local codes that apply (NFPA 13, 13(R), 13(D)
Must have an understanding of all fire codes and an ability to discern deficiencies in the system(s) being inspected.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Must be able to clear a drug screening in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
Job Requirements :
Two to Four (2-4) years prior relevant work experience
Valid drivers license
Able to work weekends when required
Able to carry and move tools and equipment up to 50-70 lbs
Able to work in or on ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
