Description
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This role will require use of your mind and your hands to help us keep our fleet of recycling kiosks online and available on weekends and some weekday evenings. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with the ability to independently analyze, problem-solve, and take corrective action. They will have experience in field service and machine maintenance. In addition, the failure reporting and corrective actions you perform and document, will be used to improve the design and manufacturing processes for our kiosks and software systems.
A typical day will involve reviewing our fleet dashboards for issues and responding as needed. Some issues will be resolved through interaction with our operations, engineering, and customer service teams. Other issues will require onsite visits to troubleshoot and/or get kiosks back online. These repairs will require the use of various hand tools and personal protective equipment such as gloves and eye protection, as well as adherence to any safety policies regarding repair work.
Each visit will require documentation of the observable behaviors, likely causes, and service activities performed. Initially, this will be a contract position where you will use your own vehicle, and be reimbursed for mileage at the federal rate.
