Job Description: Manufacturing Planner (Aerospace)
Responsibilities:
- Plan the sequence of manufacturing operations from raw material to finished product.
- Review customer requirements to ensure product conforms.
- Review applicable drawings and specifications.
- Ensure materials and services are sourced from approved suppliers.
- Utilize the ERP/MRP system to create manufacturing work orders.
- Utilize First Article Inspection (FAI) software to prepare FAI for first-run products.
- Revise and/or split existing manufacturing work orders as necessary.
- Review and approve manufacturing work orders created by others.
- Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) created by others.
Requirements:
- Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, finish processes, and appropriate sequence of operations.
- Knowledge of aerospace assembly techniques and requirements (fasteners, sealant, etc.).
- Knowledge of testing requirements such as NDT, hardness, and eddy current.
- Blueprint interpretation and CAD/ENOVIA experience.
- Knowledge of aerospace specifications and standards.
- Knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements.
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficient use of computer systems and software applications (ENOVIA, MS Office, Discus, Net-Inspect).
- In-depth knowledge of ERP/MRP software is preferred.
Experience: 3 years in aerospace planning or a directly related field.
Education: High School or equivalent.
