**Omaha Pain Physicians is seeking a Patient Access Representative that is friendly, cooperative, team focused, organized and detail oriented. Our facility is a fast-paced, friendly, and exciting environment where we believe in and value our employees!
Roles & Responsibilities
The Patient Access Representative will create new patient encounters by obtaining and entering demographic information into the EMR system. This position greets customers and facilitates the patient registration process in a timely, professional, and courteous manner. This individual will be responsible for obtaining all information regarding the patient from the referral or PCP along with MRI reports and films, physical therapy notes and other treatments the patient has had to this point for treatment of their pain.
Additional tasks include:
Maintain a waiting list, referral list and other information as requested.
Provide back up to the front desk and answer phones when necessary.
Interviews patients to obtain complete demographic details, financial information, and minimum health information to ensure appropriate care provision
Provide excellent customer service for patients, families, vendors, and physicians.
Act as a resource to resolve room availability/scheduling conflicts.
Requests required medical records from physician referral offices PRN.
Sends, receives, and routes incoming/outgoing faxes.
Assists with other business office tasks as needed.
Input patient information in electronic medical record.
Qualification & Education Requirements
Candidate must have a background in healthcare and knowledge of medical terminology.
Previous Patient Registration and/or Patient Scheduling experience preferred.

**Hours will be Monday through Thursday 7:30am to 4:15 and Friday 7:30am-1215.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
