Solution Architect - Integrations
OPPD is hiring a Solution Architect -Integrations! Solution Architect - Integrations (SA) is an industry and discipline expert who is responsible for leading design sessions to create end-to-end technical solutions and processes, in partnership with engineering teams, that meet business needs. The SA is responsible for contributing to the development of and adherence to architecture frameworks, principles, standards, and best practices. The SA ensures deployed technologies and services align with business objectives and that these products and services are built, delivered, and governed in a way that maximize their value to the company. This role focuses on the wholistic corporate application integration architecture including environments, tools, and integration design principles. Responsible for building an application integration roadmap that aligns to the current company goals and long-term strategy while incorporating the operational needs of the respective application services domains. This role will also maintain a partnership with the Enterprise Architects and other domain specific Solution Architects.
Deep subject matter expertise and experience with MuleSoft, Axway or other integration platforms required
Collaborates with business and technical owners to design solutions that meet the requirements of projects, and that it ensures fiscally responsibility
Excellent eye towards the horizon to position the application environments in future ready state
The role will cross into UI / UX, performance, security, resilience and data aspects of platforms and applications
Good understanding of how typical infrastructure works with the application environments is a plus
Solution Design
Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and effective technology solutions
Conceptualize and / or design end-to-end solutions, considering software and hardware integrations, performance, reliability, operating, scalability, security designs and lifecycle management
Technology Stack
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including solution architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and design documents
Leverage technical expertise to evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, tools, and solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and align with OPPD needs and capabilities
Collaboration
Liaise between business partners, vendors, project management and technical teams
Foster a collaborative culture and actively engage with Enterprise Architects and Lead Engineers to ensure design choices are made with an understanding of business objectives, the overall architectural strategy, roadmaps, governance, and frameworks
Solution Governance
Ensure that solution designs adhere to technology and security standards / policies
Lead and / or support relevant governance groups & boards to provide oversight of planning and design processes and risk management
Work closely with other architects and lead engineers to ensure the planned solution is designed to meet all non-functional requirements - security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability
Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field; 7 years of proven experience as an SA or a similar role in an enterprise-class environment OR a combination of education and experience that enables the candidate to fulfill the responsibilities of the position
Progressive growth of role and increased responsibility throughout career
Strong technical knowledge in areas such as cloud, virtualization, client / server, service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, software development, data, networking, middleware, storage, data management, infrastructure, and emerging technologies
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and practices
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that enables productive and positive interactions with stakeholders
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Desired : Master's degree
Certifications in relative technologies and frameworks
Experience working in a utility
Familiarity with industry specific regulations and compliance standards
Knowledge of business processes including service portfolio management, finance, asset management, high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and risk management
Experience working in a mixed Agile / Waterfall environment
