Salary Schedule : Omaha School Administrators Association (OSAA) Level 3 / Salary credit may be awarded for applicable experience. Placement on the salary schedule will follow the applicable summary document.

Position Purpose :
The Assistant Program Director is an instructional leader of the program. OPS seeks excellent leaders who can prepare all students for college, career, and community leadership. The Assistant Program Director for Integrated Learning Program assumes joint responsibility with the Program Director for the effective administration of the Integrated Learning Program and all facets of its instructional and behavioral programming. Under the direction of the Program Director, this individual is assisting with the supervision and evaluation of all certified and non-certified staff assigned to the program. The Assistant Program Director assists with providing leadership in establishing expectations for student attendance, behavior, and learning performance. This individual will exhibit strong standards of professional ethics when relating to staff, students, parents, administration, and the community. The Assistant Program Director will be responsible for helping to ensure the IEPs of students who have been placed at the Integrated Learning Program are implemented with fidelity.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
- Keep abreast of developments in K-12 curriculum and instruction and assist in providing leadership in determining the appropriateness of incorporating recent strategies.
- Maintain the districts overall mission, assist in supporting and implementing board policies and the academic action plan school wide with staff and students
- Assist in the development and support of curriculum and instructional growth to enhance the educational opportunities for all students.
- Under the direction of the Program Director, assume the responsibility for the creation and maintenance of the school schedule as well as the use of school data to inform and advise decision making.
- Responsible for the enrollment and onboarding of students entering the Integrated Learning Program.
- Monitor and provide staff development on the use of Infinite Campus including all the functions therein including but not limited to IEPs, student schedules, attendance, grade books, student information, and discipline.
- Monitor and use relevant data to effect change in instructional practices enhancing student learning.
- Maintain effective communication with all supporting divisions within the Omaha Public School district as well as staff, students, and community.
- Assist in providing leadership for a collaborative team to ensure that curriculum and instructional initiatives are student focused and aligned with the District's mission and beliefs and school goals and improvement plans.
- Works collaboratively with the Program Director and Leadership staff in completing teacher appraisals including, but not limited to, conducting observations, feedback conferences, and coaching visits for continuous growth.
- Adhere to the district evaluation process related to both classified and non-classified staff.
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours or weekends.

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Program Director and Central Office Administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
Equipment : This position may require the ability to use basic office equipment such as computers, copiers, scanners, and fax machine. Must always comply with OPS's guidelines for equipment use.
Travel : Limited travel between schools and central offices will be required. Occasional travel outside of Omaha or Nebraska may be required.

This position is treated as a full-time exempt certified position. The terms of your employment will be governed by applicable state laws regulating employment or teaching in a Nebraska public school and Board of Education policies, as those laws and policies may change from time to time, and the Teacher Contract. If your position is represented by a collective bargaining representative, then your employment will also be governed by a negotiated agreement between OPS and that collective bargaining representative.
