Summary:
Mascot(s) are responsible for performing as one of the six Omaha Storm Chasers mascots during Storm Chasers home games, special events, and/or community appearances. Mascot(s) are also responsible for Union Omaha appearances featuring Hoot, the Owl. All members of the Werner Park event staff are required to work at least 50% of Werner Park Events in 2024.
Position Responsibilities:
Mascot(s) are responsible for performing as one of the six Omaha Storm Chasers mascots during Storm Chasers home games, special events, and/or community appearances. Mascot(s) are also responsible for Union Omaha appearances featuring Hoot, the Owl. All members of the Werner Park event staff are required to work at least 50% of Werner Park Events in 2024.
Position Responsibilities:
- Interact with fans and welcome them as they enter the ballpark gates
- Participate in various promotions throughout the game and on the field.
- Distribute Omaha Storm Chasers/Union Omaha promotional items (mascot cards, pocket schedules, etc.) to help increase team and brand awareness
- Interact with all fans at games, events, and appearances
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a costume
Comfortable in front of large crowds
- Able to improvise and interact with fans.
- Fan friendly and outgoing individual
- Works well with children and other staff members
Working Conditions:
This job operates in an environment located at a ballpark. This job may require long periods of standing. This job occasionally requires light lifting and moving of fixtures. Performance of this job may require exposure to extreme weather conditions
