What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Sales Manager position at Omak Dodge, Ram, Jeep, Chrysler?
- Manage and lead the sales team to achieve sales targets
- Desk car deals in the CRM, print pencils, and coach sales people on how to present the numbers to clients
- Personally present pencils to clients and close car deals
- Provide sales support, coaching, and training daily to the sales team
- Hold salespeople accountable to watch 2 sales training videos per day
- Track the sales team’s follow up in the CRM ensuring leads are being followed up with properly
- Reassign leads from deficient salespeople to effective salespeople
- Physically walk the inventory daily to inspect the lot and condition of the inventory
- Liaison between the recon and service departments to ensure vehicles are being put out on the lot efficiently and in proper condition
- Set monthly par and stretch goals with sales team at the beginning of each month
- Advise GM and buyer(s) on what vehicles to stock or not stock based on sales trends
- Respond, help, and come to resolutions with heated or upset customers
- Properly book out the KBB and JB Power values of vehicles
- Be familiar with all current sales promotions and marketing campaigns that are running
- Develop and implement creative sales plans to expand the customer base
- Pass sold deals on to the finance department with complete and orderly paperwork
- Ensure salespeople are posting vehicles to Facebook Marketplace for sale
- Responsible for all sales inquiries that come inbound via phone, website, and social media channels
- Use Dealer Connect, wholesale, and auction inventory channels to find specific vehicles for clients
- Use software tools to view competitors trends and track what is happening in the market
- Uphold the highest levels of legal compliance and ethical standards
- Leading by example with a work ethic that is unmatched by subordinates
- Exude an overall positive, uplifting, and encouraging attitude to set the tone and mood of the team
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive sales or retail sales
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes
- Proficiency in math for pricing and financial calculations
- Proficiency using computers, spreadsheets, and multiple software systems
- Organizational skills to manage sales processes efficiently
- Many years experience in a dealership setting

Pay: $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
