Job description
**READ BEFORE APPLYING**
We are looking for hardworking and experienced bussers. We are a casual but high-end traditional sushi restaurant so we are seeking professional individuals that are motivated to form part of an awesome team. Pay is much better than average for the position due to a fixed tip-out percentage from servers.
Requirements for hiring (PLEASE do not apply if you don't meet the following 3 requirements)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be willing to adhere to dress code requirements
- Must be a US Citizen or legal resident
Duties and responsibilities
- Quickly and efficiently buss and clean tables after each use
- Send full buss pans to wash and replace with new, clean buss pan
- Pre buss tables
- Refill water and sodas
- Assist servers and/or host/hostesses whenever necessary
- Maintain dining floor and server station cleanliness at all times
- Sweep/Mop dining floors before and after every shift
- Other duties
Working conditions
Mostly indoor dining working environment in a restaurant that handles a variety of fish, seafood, vegetables, fruits, wheat products, rice, dry seaweed, sauces, and many other food and beverage products. Candidates with food allergies must inform management during the application process. Noise levels may vary depending on how busy the restaurant is.
Physical requirements
Employee must be able to stand for long periods of time. Job requires some bending and kneeling in order to reach certain items such as plates, spoons, sauces, beverages, etc… Job requires moderate tray handling and lifting (maximum 35 lbs.). Job requires handling a soft drink hose to dispense soft drink beverages. Job requires pre-bussing and bussing tables that involves thoroughly cleaning tables and may include sweeping on rare occasions. Job requires maneuvering between tables and corners.
