Construction Crew Foreman

Omasta Landscaping, located in Hadley, MA since 1979 is looking to hire an additional Construction Crew Foreman to join our team.

***Almost all of the work is prevailing wage work, pay rate around $65.00 per hour /-

***YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN OUTDOOR CONSTRUCTION, SITE WORK, LANDSCAPING OR OTHER RELATED AND AT LEAST 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE OPERATING EXCAVATORS, SKID STEERS AND OR LOADERS/DOZERS AND BEING A JOB SITE FOREMAN***

If you dont have any of the experience required your resume will not be considered

***You must have experience at a minimum setting grades with a rotary Laser Level.

***Experience with GPS guided layout and or fully robotic total station preferred.

You will not be considered if you have never been a Crew foreman before and have not run jobs in the field on your own before

Qualifications

• Must have a personality that will fit into a group of highly motivated and efficient managers and team members.
• Must be able to analyze, read and layout blue prints for construction projects
• Strong organizational & decision-making skills
• Strong technical communication skills both written and oral
• Ability to navigate and understand Architectural and Structural drawings as well as specifications
• Understand how to make the best use of equipment and labor times on a job site
• Manage jobs sites, crew members and sub-contractors

Responsibilities

• Successfully manage projects from beginning to end with a team
• Understand & appreciate project schedules & deadlines while respecting budget constraints
• Outsource and work with subcontractors for assigned projects.
• Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials and preparing costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Provide management to ensure project goals and schedules are met.
• Oversee site layout
• Communicate effectively with Project Team/Suppliers to make sure we are well represented and meeting all project requirements, schedules and remaining within budget.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent knowledge of construction processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
