Job Description:
This Special Education Teacher role involves working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the unique needs of each student. You will also provide instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and other disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement instructional strategies that promote engagement, motivation, and academic success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a comprehensive support plan for each student, incorporating input from parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in special education.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful classroom environment, promoting social skills, emotional regulation, and responsible behavior.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a closely related field.
