Purchasing Agent - Corporate
Responsibilities:
- To procure and coordinate MRO items used in Wickliffe operations
Research costing, quality, and usage information concerning MRO items consumed at Wickliffe location, including packaging supplies used in manufacturing.
Compare MRO products and programs implemented at other OMCO manufacturing locations and apply "best practice" concept throughout organization where applicable.
Does all purchase order entry for MRO commodities and would be responsible for resolving pricing, invoice, and receiving disputes.
- Enter all Intercompany purchase orders on respective data bases to support Accounting, Production and Manufacturing systems.
Obtain correct costing for transfers of product and insure purchase orders are issued in a timely manner.
- At Corporate level, directly involved with Corporate Engineering on purchasing tooling, dies, and other related services.
Tracks and keeps record of requisitions
Involved in resolving disagreements between suppliers and OMCO personnel as it relates to tooling, dies, and other related services.
Does all purchase order entry for all transactions.
- At Corporate level, will work within purchasing group and other OMCO team members to insure procurement methods are meeting cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
Will be involved in supplier on-time delivery performance and quality reporting.
Will help department to insure internal purchasing procedures are meeting ISO certifications.
Will be involved in expediting materials as necessary to meet production demands.
When required, will be responsible for material claims and resolutions for commodities purchased.
Must be efficient in developing and maintaining spreadsheets as required.
- Will do Purchase Order entry for responsible commodities for all plants and is involved in resolving any disputes or questions pertaining to those commodities.
- Should have working knowledge of flat roll steel market and knowledgeable in mill procurement methods as well as service center.
Needs to be familiar with coil slitting operations and factors that influence scrap and yield of coils.
Will be responsible for procuring metal used in OMCO operations and forecasting requirements through various means, i.e. historical usage, known planned requirements, market considerations.
As OMCO continues to grow and expand, will be responsible for other raw material and services as assigned.
Must have the ability to understand and interpret steel specifications and procure the correct material when required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
