Our mission is to equip individuals, families, and children with resources, tools, and opportunities to break the cycle of generational poverty and achieve self-sufficiency through education, workforce development, and advocacy. With over 20 years of active involvement in the community, Omega CDC has developed a strong presence in Northwest Dayton and built a unique level of trust and familiarity with thousands of local residents and numerous community organizations. To strengthen and expand its impact, the Omega CDC has developed a multi-phased strategic plan to re-develop a 30-acre property in Northwest Dayton in collaboration with government, education, healthcare, and other nonprofit and social service agencies in Dayton and across Miami Valley.
Position Summary
Data Analyst will be assigned to this project to support the Hope Zone Project Manager and Database Systems Administrator to track, collect, aggregate, and report quantitative and qualitative data and information. We anticipate this position will provide data analysis services for the grant project to ensure planning for adequate tracking of data and systems build-out. The data analyst will support the Database Administrator to turn raw data into information and insight, which can be used to make business decisions for the Hope Zone Promise Neighborhood project.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Work is performed primarily in the Hope Zone (Northwest Dayton). Some local travel is required for meetings, community engagement, and required presentations. Longer distance travel may be required for necessary training. Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday through Friday. Some evening or weekend hours will be required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Support Project Manager and Database Administrator to formulate and define systems scopes, and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business solutions and business requirements.
- Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data.
- Support the Database Administrator and Project manager to prepare final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends.
- Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for diagnosis and prediction.
- Removing corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problem.
- Developing and maintaining databases, and data systems - reorganizing data in a readable format.
- Serve as liaison between the program departments, partner organizations, and the organization administration.
- Support buildout and implementation of training modules for data systems and analysis
- BS degree or relevant certification required.
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Researcher
- Previous experience with data and/or database systems in a social services and/or education institution
- Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
- Familiar with Salesforce data system
- Knowledge of data visualizationsoftware like Tableau, Qlik
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc)
- Great communication skills and data analysis.
- Previous experience with case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools
- Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets in order to find solutions
- Problem-solving skills

- Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations
- Team-working skills
- Strong analytical skillswith the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
