We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional dental care. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after treatments to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes, assisting in creating accurate dental models.
- Provide support to the dental receptionist as needed, including managing patient inquiries and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and the treatment area in accordance with infection control protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a dental office is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems, specifically Eaglesoft, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is essential to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Experience with general dentistry practices and four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding basic medical terminology will be beneficial.
- A willingness to learn new technologies such as 3D scanning equipment is highly desirable.
