Summary:
- Performs highly diversified duties such as installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting and repair of both production and facility equipment.
- Performs duties in adherence to safety guidelines, and in line with facility’s productive maintenance system and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
- Supports development and implementation of site’s improvement initiatives, such as continuous process improvement, machine reliability, and lean manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs all aspects of planned preventative maintenance, to include necessary documentation and inventory management of consumable repair parts.
- Performs both scheduled preventative, and unscheduled corrective maintenance of a variety of systems to include electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Communicates unsafe conditions or substandard machine performance to supervisors.
- Performs system and component level troubleshooting to diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Performs system or component level repairs to return production equipment to service in a timely manner.
- Consults equipment manuals, work order documents, or other procedural documents for proper equipment operation.
Key Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with Limble or other CMMS.
- Knowledge of basic electrical components and the ability to interpret basic electrical schematics.
- Advanced electrical troubleshooting is preferred including:
- Knowledge of electrical components & their functions in AC vs DC systems
- Ability to use various test equipment to diagnose issues, i.e. multimeter, ammeter, oscilloscope
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics & ladder logic circuits
- Advanced electrical troubleshooting is preferred including:
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment using a systematic analytical method (7-step troubleshooting or equivalent).
- Possess an understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Capable of differentiating between electrical and mechanical faults in hybrid systems.
- Strong communication skills
· High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; and 5 years related industrial maintenance experience and/or training; or
·equivalent combination of education and production maintenance experience.
· Facilities maintenance or Electrician Certificate Preferred.
- RPPO collateral duty or comparable experience is a plus.
