What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auditor position at Omega Healthcare?
- Review cancer registry and medical records for accuracy of coding and data quality. Independently complete reports for submission to the Client. Elements to be included in reviews can include:
- Demographic
- Staging
- Tumor Characteristics
- Text Documentation
- Treatment information
- Follow-up information
- Maintain auditing productivity based on Client and Omega agreed upon requirements
- Complete Quality Review reports timely and submits to Omega management (subsequently to Client) for review.
- Utilize all available official references to perform reviews: to include but not limited to Update to Standards for Oncology Registry Entry (STORE), International Classification of Diseases for Oncology, 3 rd Edition, American Joint Commission on Cancer Staging Manual, Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) Staging Manual, North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR), etc.
- Communicate effectively with supporting staff and Omega point-of-contact(s). Provides information regarding work progress, actions, and issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Must be skilled in Microsoft Excel.
- Perform duties in compliance with Company’s policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to HIPAA and compliance.
