What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Packing Associate position at Omega Holdings?
The job of Small Package Packing Clerk is done for the purpose/s, packing orders to be shipped via UPS/FedEx; making sure parts are packed in a manner that ensures they arrive undamaged and in original condition.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure orders are packed in appropriate box/boxes to ensure safe handling of shipment to minimize damage during shipping.
- Ensure quality control on all UPS / FedEx packages at the packing stage to minimize damage during shipping.
- Sort and separate UPS, FedEx and FedEx Express packages.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse where and when a need for assistance is required or at the request of Management.
Job Requirements:
- May be required to operate pallet jack, forklift and shrink wrap machine.
- Skills required to perform multiple, non-technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
- Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job are listed above.
- Position requires analytical and basic math skills; ability to understand written procedures, complete routine documents, and speak clearly; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions.
- May be required to pack, lift and place boxes up to 70lbs.
- Ability to work with others is required. In working with others, problem solving with issues may require independent interpretation.
- Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; providing information and/or advising others.
- The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending and significant fine finger dexterity.
