We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens and towels are cleaned and presented to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder hotel linens and garments.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store clean laundry items according to established procedures.
- Inspect items for stains or damage and treat accordingly before laundering.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to management promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads as necessary.
